Tecma issues, again

Hi All,
My macerating pump went out last year and the same noisy symptoms of the bearings going bad. Thoughts on anything I can do now? Doubt it so also looking for recommendations on a new toilet. Thanks.

Hi Gary. What noise was your toilet making and did you resolve it - either by fixing or with new type of toilet?
I may be in same boat.

Have the Tecma EasyFit toilet in 2010 Ranger. Recently it has started making a high pitched whiney noise at end of flush. Flushes fine but wondering how to address this noise. Assume it's the pump?

If anyone else has feedback on this - greatly appreciated. 2 week trip to Desolation Sound early August so looking at advice on this - make it a fix in Winter. Replace pump? New toilet options?

Hi Adey
If I could figure out a voice recording I could give you my "Car Talk" version of the noise! Its more mechanical grinding than whiney. During a flush the macerator does two grinds. The second grind is much louder than the first. I can't be sure its not my imagination, but I recall that happening before when my motor went out (seized bearings I believe). Replacing the pump is the fix, unfortunately I broke the toilet during install! Pumps were hard to find last year and speculation was Tecma stopped making them as they discontinued the EasyFit toilet.
Maybe strap a spare toilet to the roof and travel to Desolation Sound in style? We'll be up there early September.
