It is with a mix of sadness and excitement that I write this post…
June and I purchased our beautiful 29’ Circle T new in 2010, and have never once regretted that decision. The adventures we’ve had and the friends we’ve made since then have been priceless. Many of you reading this are what made this statement possible, and we value you more than you can know.
As many of our Ranger Tug family know, June and I have more often than not cruised these past years with kids and grandkids and friends on board the Circle T with us. Watching the grandkids grow in confidence and knowledge and self-esteem as they have "learned the ropes” has in and of itself made the Circle T a great investment. Sadly, June has twice had to stay at home and miss out on cruising with family because our 29’ boat just wasn’t quite big enough for everyone that was going. And so, simply said, we need a bigger boat.
I’ve just called Jeff Messmer and thanked him for the wonderful support he’s given us over the years - but explained that we just need to move to a physically larger vessel. He was, as always, most gracious.
June and I are purchasing a used trawler with two staterooms and two heads - bigger but slower. Our faithful friend the Circle T will soon be listed by Selene Yachts Northwest on Lake Union, where we’re purchasing her replacement.
Most importantly, we do not want to lose touch with our friends reading this - and you know who you are. Watch for us as you zoom by on the water. The boat's name will be different, but many of you will figure out that it's us...
