I have at times used my Dropbox public folder to post images in this forum, as it's a very easy thing for me to do.
However, about 2 weeks ago my Dropbox account was suspended due to it exceeding the 20GB data traffic per day for a non-business account. A Dropbox business account has some 200GB per day allotment. As this was my very first suspension Dropbox allowed me to rescind this suspension.
Using the Dropbox Public folder means that it's quite easy for many downloads to be occurring, especially if the Public folder's image link is shared by others around the world.
So as a FYI, if you are using Dropbox Public folder be aware of this situation.
P.S. I tried finding a Dropbox option that allows me to set an expiration date/time for a particular file, but was unable to find it. If you know of a way to place an expiration date/time on a Dropbox file such that it goes poof/deleted at some point in the future I'd be interested in knowing how that's done. Thanks... 🙂
