I can't believe my time has finally came. After several years of daydreaming about a shiny new Tug the wait is over. My new R-27 is scheduled to arrive @ Seagate Marine in Stuart Fl in the morning. Seagate is going to prep everything, paint the bottom add a few goodies & have her ready for delivery next week. My plan is to head to Stuart the first of the week to get ready for when my boat is. I'm probably a little over excited because I traded my C-dory in February & have been boat less since. The factory was kind enough to keep me supplied with pics thru out the build which was greatly appreciated since I couldn't go there myself. Tommy @ Seagate has been great to deal with & would recommend them to anyone who may be tug shopping along the east coast. As long as all goes well I'll be ready to run her to SC this time next week. If anyone is out on the icw be on the lookout for Sakier as she will be motoring home. I plan to get a trailer later but figured this would be a great chance to get to know the boat. 😀

Welcome aboard Sakier, you've made a good decision. Enjoy your trip up the ICW to South Carolina getting to know your new R27, its a great trip. Where in South Carolina will Sakier call home? If you've cruised up the ICW before you obviously already know the routine. If however this is your first trip feel free to drop me a PM with any questions. Lisa and I are not experts by any means however we have cruised back and forth three to four times and may be able to provide some tips.

Enjoy the experience,

Jim F

Congrats
we are expecting our "Blu Tug" in a few weeks and know about your excitement and the factory also sent build pics which was so very much appreciated 😀 She is on as ship that just entered the Bass Straight ( that's the sea between Australia and Tasmania) so she is getting closer 🙂
Cheers

Hey Jim, Sakier will call Doc Holidays Marina in North Myrtle Beach home. This will be the furtherest south I've been in my own boat but have been as far as Fernandina Beach so don't really expect to many surprises. I have to say I've enjoyed reading about you're & Lisa's adventures. Maybe one day I can do the same ( it sure is inspirational). Peter & Ronie I can only guess how the suspense is getting to you as I remember reading a few weeks ago about you're Blu Tug leaving on a cargo ship. Hang in there she'll be there before you know it.

Congratulations! Enjoy every minute of the process. When you start to settle into Sakier, consider joining the World of Ranger Tugs. Send me your details and I'll get you on the map. Blu Tug, too!

Cheers!

Ah... I know the wait is agony. Congratulations on getting you R-27... have fun as I know you will.

Congrats! Having had our R-27 for not quite a month, we know so well the excitement you are feeling. You will have a great summer full of the adventure of learning about your tug and being on the water with it. Enjoy!

Thanks Barry, Gini & Bruce for the great thoughts. It's great to be a part of this forum with so many thoughtful members & especially Bruce for taking the time to put me on the map.
