Thruster remote

On my 2019 c28 can someone explain how to activate the thruster remote. I see no reference to the device in the manuals.

My 2017 29S has a switch on the Helm Dash you need to turn on before the remote will work.

And you are suppose to replace the battery annually. It’s a common CR2032 3v “coin” type battery.

Thanks everyone but especially Vicki and All. I don’t know why the remote part do the manual was not included in the documents that came with the boat. I am leaving soon for the marina with a new battery and will let you know the result. Do you happen to know where the receiver is?

Don’t know where the receiver is located.
Take a set of the smallest torx screwdrivers with you to the boat. The size of those screw heads on the remote’s case back borders on microscopic!

The receiver for the thruster remote is located at the helm, underneath the joysticks and binnacle. Very hard to reach for me. There is a switch on the receiver to place remote into pairing mode.

However, if you are just changing the battery you should not (hopefully) have to repair the remote.

Thanks everyone. I replaced the battery and turned the helm switch on and I got a short ding as the remote activated and worked properly.
