I am new to the ranger tugs. Been out only oncw and blew the fuse on my thrusters twice. The first time I admit that I may have engaged the bow thruster a bit too long but the second fuse blew with only a very short push? Any ideas as to why?
Also, with the thrusters out, my windglass also did not work. There s a seperate fuse for the windglass so why did it not work. Is the windglass also connected to the thruster fuse?

you might have something caught in the blade.

The windless should have a separate fuse. Could be two separate issues. I am pretty sure that there is a fuse near the helm for the thruster. Make sure it is engaged it is one of those fuses that trip when you push the red button and a lever comes out. Sometimes it can be inadvertently hit and disengage. On the bow thruster I would check that the prop is moving easily and that nothing is caught in it. If it is not moving freely and nothing is caught it could be the shaft assembly.
