R27 OB, question, regarding the toilet. When toilet is flushed are there two pumps running, the salt water pump in the starboard lazerett and the pump in the toilet?

On our 2023 R27LE just the pump/macerator that’s integral to the Raritan head runs. It’s self priming and pulls from the port side seacock in the rear center hatch. In our case Seawater pump draws from starboard side seacock and only runs with AC.

Ours works the same as Fog Cutter

I never have looked that close at plumbing. I think on ours there is one seacock. The way I had thought it was run was sea cock to strainer to pump, then teed off to wash down and to toilet. All working OK but am getting ready to add a Commoderizer, and didn’t think it would be good to have that treated water coming thru wash down. Will need to go and follow lines.

Only the pump on the Raritan toilet is running. The Raritan toilet functions independent of the macerator. They each have their own pump and do not share any plumbing (see pages 11 and 15 of the R27-OB owners guide) except the vent.

After looking at our 2021 R27, the plumbing for the head is, seacock to strainer, strainer to a T, one leg to wash down the other to the head. Am still thinking how I will replumb, so that the Commoderizer water is not going thru wash down. I have another strainer I can use, to attach to the Commoderizeron the toilet side of the T. Probably the way I will go.. Thanks for the replies.
