Took a pounding, what to check

I made the rookie mistake of checking the wind wave forecast but not updating as conditions changed. As a result we took quite a pounding in the straight of Juan de fuca. Tug handled the big water (for us anyway) but we were rocking! What should I check after heavy seas to be sure nothing broke?

Check your mast and make sure guy wires and fasteners are tight. Anything else will raise its ugly head soon enough.
