towing boston whaler

Hello!
We have a 2008 ranger 25 110hp yanmar and was wondering if anyone had experience in towing a boston whaler? We were thinking of purchasing a 11 ft whaler but was not sure how it would effect the speed of the Ranger and if it would be worth it? Currently we just tie our hard bottom Avon to the swim step.

We have a 29 and tow our 13 foot whaler everywhere we go. We have had the ranger up to 17 knots while towing and had no issues with it at all. Be sure to get a good towing set up and keep an eye on it while underway. We have a 150 feet of tow line and a stainless shackle and have found that having the whaler 75 feet out and tied to one of the stern cleats works great.
