Now that we have put a Cutwater C28 under contract I am starting to focus on getting prepared for towing a 38 foot trailer. Never towed anything of this size. I have been searching for RV Navigation apps in order to get routing that is supposed to avoid those "hairpin turns". Many get luke warm ratings at best so would be interested in getting feedback on those solutions people have found success.

On the towing, I know once I do it a couple of times I will be fine. However, the anxiety I have over trip #1 is what I am facing now. Thought of maybe contacting local RV dealers to see if they do an orientation for those long trailers they sell. Open to suggestions or other solutions. Thanks in advance for feedback.

A guide would be nice. Just towed my new to me C30 from Florida Keys to New Mexico, 2200 miles!.
Only one flat tire on old tires.
However, I found as thrifty as I'd like to be on diesel in my truck, I limited myself to only highway accessible truck stops for fuel. This alone cost you about 30 to 50 cents per gallon more! Wow. 1 mile in town, 2.75 and at truck stop right on highway, 3.30 or more. This wouldn't be a big deal on short trips, but adds hundreds more when you do 2200 miles.
However, getting stuck in town is not worth it and I pay the higher prices.

Google satellite view is very very handy for route recon though. Try that. I scope out parking lots to pull into or large gas stations before I get there.

I only got into a pinch once going to a discount tire for a flat. Pulled into a large parking lot across the street that looked great on google maps. However, after being committed to the turn, the parking lot was full of cars and really tight to get out. Had to back up a couple hundred feet between cars. Could not go forward. Next trip, I will have two spare tires.
