Today,in preparation for towing Kismet to the PNW this summer, I went to have our trailer wheels balanced and tires rotated. I was surprised when the technician stated that the wheels had never had any weights on them and not surprised that all needed to be balanced.....one even took 13 oz. of weight? On the way back home from the tire store the trailer did seem to pull down the road a bit smoother, maybe it was just me justifying the expense but I do feel better knowing the wheels are balanced. I post this in case others who tow have not thought of having their wheels balanced.

Good idea. And while you are at it, offer additional trailer advice. Our EZ Loader with bunks is officially one year old this month and we have put less than 4000 miles on it. Besides rotating tires, what service should I have on it before we haul the boat from California to Campbell River this summer? We have the boat off the trailer and in the water for a while so it seems like a good opportunity to get it worked on.

Check to make sure all bolts are tightened. I also ran a stainless steel wire through the license plate up to the bracket because the plastic tag bracket has a tendency to break from fatigue and you can loose your plate. The wire will hold it there in case it brakes
