The trailer winch for my R25 has three "gears". The middle position is free wheel. Does any one know what the other two gears are for? The manual doesn't cover that. Thanks in advance.
 
It's a two speed winch. One of them will crank it in fast but is a lot harder to work, the other is slower (more turns) but because of the lower gear ratio has more power. Like gears on a bike or in a car (remember 1st, 2nd and 3rd on a manual shift? 😱

When you say winch, is yours a hand crank or electric. I not sure if my R-21 sea king trailer would work with an electric model.
