I have a 2018 C28 with a D4-260 and HS63AE-C transmission, and I have a question about what should be the range of transmission fluid pressure readings under differing RPM? The background of my question: This year my transmission fluid pressure seems low (I know where my engine oil pressure should be, but never made note of transmission fluid pressure). I typically cruise at around 2600 PRM, and I am reading 15 psi on my Garmin Dashboard (I still haven't figured out how to see it on the Volvo EVC screen) and this number seems lower than what remember in prior seasons (around 22?). What I found more concerning is when I slow down to 1000 RPM, the Garmin transmission pressure gauge reads 0 or 1. I had my mechanic take a look, and the fluid was at the appropriate level, with the right color and clarity, and did not have a burnt smell. We looked at the filter and there was no blockage. Also, there were no signs of a leak. I had the transmission fluid changed in 2024, so one season with the change. My two questions to the group -- for my setup, what should be the range of transmission fluid pressure reading for different RPMs? And if it is too low, what should I look at next in the troubleshooting? Thanks in advance!
