We just bought our R25 Maximus a few months ago and are currently having a Fisher/Panda gen set installed.

We live on the east coast of Florida and at some point we would like to travel from Miami to the Bahamas, has anyone ever done that with a group of other boaters?

I’m interested in the Bahamas trip with my R25. Palm Beach area.

We would be interested in joining a group float to the Bahamas dependent on date. What do you have in mind. We just returned from the Trent-Severn Waterway rendezvous and really enjoyed the group get together. I'm sure a small group to Bahamas would be of interest to others.

Nautical Ventures was organizing one out of Dania Beach area that was to go a couple weeks ago. We bought our boat from them. Not sure if they actually made the trip. We opted out as we wanted more experience with the boat before going on that type of trip. Just did our first overnight a few weeks ago. Stayed at St Augustine city marina. Nice trip and plenty to do walking around if you have not been there.
We eventually want to make the Bahamas trip as well.

How long would a trip like that take? I have a 26 ft CW- I would love to trailer down to the departure point from VA, but would need a place to park truck and trailer 🙂

The crossing is overnight to either West End or Bimini in a ‘slow’ boat at less than 7 knots. Faster boats di a daylight crossing.

Once in the Bahamas, all islands are daylight except Bimini ti Nassau - overnight in a slow boat, two daylight trips with a stop in Freeport.

Lots of good choices. Trip is as long as you wish. Two weeks is a normal minimum.
