We just completed the Trent Severn waterway. The exchange rate on the U.S dollar to the Canadian dollar is up or down depending on where you stand. $1.00 U.S. =1.29331 in Canadian money. At the Star Port Marina in Port Severn Fuel was 1.399 a liter. 46 gallons = 243.40 Canadian dollars. But the dock fuel guy asked me if I had any trash I wanted to get rid of! Free washers and dryers. A free nice tote bag. A boaters lounge you can cook in with beautiful clean showers. New weber grills you can cook on for free. All for 61.Canadian dollars a night. Pump outs for free if you buy $300 dollars of fuel. If not they were a little pricey at 25 dollars per. They do come around on the docks and ask you if you have any trash you want to get rid of!!The people up here are as nice as could be. I would not recommend coming up here just to buy cheese. Our best boat trip ever. We stayed at Trenton, Campellford, Hastings, Peterbourgh, Reach Harbor, Bobcaygeon, The Trent Talbot Marina (Rustic but very cool spot) Orillia, The River Emporium in Severn Falls and Port Severn. If you have been up to this part of Canada we would highly recommend it. The TD bank debit card thing works like a champ. Tomorrow I will try to find out what my actual exchange rate is using a U.S. TD bank debit card at the TD banks in Canada.
