Does anyone know if a 2025 R31S has single or double trim tab actuators. I am waiting delivery of a new R31 and want to see if I can upgrade this system to an auto trim tab control.
Thanks

Hi Gary

I have a 2022 RT31CB. Before spending money on auto trim tab control, I would try the boat out. At low speeds you'll likely want them all the way up, above 8-9 knots you'll want them all the way down in an attempt to get the bow down. I've never found I had to use them to level the boat. It's not a planing hull, the factory installed trim tabs on our boat have only a minor effect. They are individually controlled.

Cheers!

Rory

Add DF 12 bennett drop fins. Best and cheapest upgrade to make trim tabs work much better on the r31. Drop fins will lower the bow for better visibility

Second Steve. No need for auto levelers on an r31.

The semi displacement hull and slower speed of the R31 (and R29), I doubt would benefit much from the Lenco Autoglide or similar auto leveling systems. The faster boats with the outboards, that skim along at 25 knots is where the most benefit occurs for auto-leveling systems in my opinion.

I am considering a purchase of a 31 CB and have talked with Seakeeper about their Ride system for automatic trim tab control. They stated that it would start to have affect at 16mph, which is about typical cruising speed for a 31.
I’ll wait to see how the boat handles before making a decision since it’s an aftermarket replacement for the standard tabs. Ranger does not offer them as a build option.
