Noticed recently we have trans fluid leaking from a trim tab on our 2013 R29. I called Bennett and they said it was probably a piston o-ring,which they nicely sent me no charge, along with instructions on how to change the rings.Got the boat on the trailer yesterday and found the lower black part that holds the spring had failed on both actuators so the o-ring was not the problem. Called Bennet again, spoke with a different (not so nice) chap who said they would replace them no charge but I would have to send the defective ones in first. Also said the only way they could break was if I'd hit something. Asked him if I could buy replacements and get a refund once I sent the bad ones back, avoiding having the boat out of the water for days. He said no way, not allowed.
I called Andrew, and as always he was super helpful. He said Bennett knows full well it was a known problem, and I should call them again, speak to a different guy and insist they send me new actuators. I did and they are sending all 4 actuators, and I will send the bad ones back. Interesting how talking to the right people gets things done. Thanks again Andrew!
