Hello

I am tentatively planning a solo cruise from Nanaimo to Port Hardy later this month in my R25.

I'm not finding it easy locating refueling stops every 4 to 8 hours traveling at 7 to 10 knots per hour.

This will be my maiden voyage, so I would like to take the shortest route.

Side-trips will have to wait for my second trip when I am more experienced and confident.

Would any Tugnutter that have made this trip suggest some refueling depots along the way.

Been Googling for the last several hours. but I keep getting road routes, resorts and everything else except a list of gas stations along the inside passage.

Well, I have to admit I've done something really stupid.

I was so preoccupied with refueling that I thought I would plan to do it once a day.

I have to find an suitable anchorage once a day, refueling maybe once, maybe at Blind Channel.

Is there someway one can delete a posting?

I would be surprised if you would need to fuel up every day. Last year, on my R-29, I did almost two weeks in the Gulf Islands and the San Juan Islands and used a total of 101 gallons.

I was keeping my speed down because I wanted to see if I could do the whole trip on less than 1 tank (150 gallon tank).

Have you tried using Active Captain? You should be able to get listings of marinas and services along your route. I just saw that there is a marina , Quarter Deck Marina, in Port Hardy. They have gas and diesel.

Try this link:http://www.fineedge.com/fuelsurvey.html
this is a good list of fueling stations thru-out The northwest.
