trolling

I just bought a new R-21EC with the 3 cyl Yanmar and wonder if it will troll down to 2 miles an hour or less, as we sometimes need to go that slow for Lakers in the spring on the Finger Lakes in upstate NY.

I've got an R-21 EC and it slows down to 2 mph easily.

I also put two downriggers on it so I can get WAY down for lakers in B.C., as well as salmon and trout here in Pacific Northwest waters.

Thanks J the K for the feedback,

I am powerfully relieved that I will not have to suffer a "kicker" to troll as slow as I need to for the lakers. We also have Land Locked Atlantic Salmon, big browns and huge rainbows as well. I fish mostly on Seneca Lake and plan to do selective charters for a few discriminating customers who like my new boat as much as I do. I will not have a chance to do sea trials until spring and bought the little beauty because I liked the way it looked.

Is that metal plate in your picture something that Scotty makes or did you fab that yourself?
