Tug Fest 2011-Sept 9th, 10th, 11th

We will miss David and Maureen, but we can at least have a great party at the Tug Fest. Bob worked so hard on the margaritas this past year, that I ALMOST felt sorry for him. Maybe we can borrow this one, seen at SBS 2011, for him so he does not have work so hard this year:

Margaritaville – Some blenders are bigger than others. And over at the CSR Marine booth (East 515), they have what must be the world’s biggest blender – a converted 8 hp bow thruster complete with spigot. The thing crushes ice cubes like they were snowflakes and grinds limes into pulp with a push of a button. Yes, it does have a remote control. Best of all, it makes 3.5 gallons at a time and is available for your next rendezvous if you ask owner Scott Anderson nicely.

Maureen and I have just about gotten settled in our new home in Castle Pines Co. We were lucky that we were able to find a great home in a great location within the first weekend of looking. We were even luckier to be able to sell our home in Henderson Nevada within 12 hours of listing it! We received a full asking offer from the first couple to look at it!

However, with the new job and all that goes with it, we have determined that we are not going to have the time to properly plan Tug Fest 2011. Therefore, we are goiing to have to step aside and let another Tug Nut take the helm. Anyone interested, please let me know and I will gladly email you all that we have already put together.

Thank you ,
David and Maureen

Hi All, Ellen and I (Michael) attended last year but boatless as Jeff was using the boat. Well, she is now part of our family and we will be attending on Shiraz Trader. Please put us on the list.

Just wanted to get this on the front page again. Thank you to Herb and Willie, Johnnie, Patrick and Gail, Craig and Kathy and Lyman and Janeane for volunteering. With David and Maureen missing we will need all the help we can get. Nita and I think we have sold our home in Bothell and will be relocating to Anacortes, if things go well, so we are going to be busy but will still help as much as we can.
Thanks for all your support.
Bob and Nita

Just bringing it back to the spotlight. If you haven't signed up, its not too late.

A "team" of us are getting together soon to work on all the details of Tug Fest 2011, so watch for more details SOON.

I will post an updated list of who has said they're coming by the end of April, but join the fun and let us know if you're joining in this 3rd annual event!

Looking forward to seeing the unofficial hosting crew at 10 a.m. on the 23rd at the Starbucks in Renton, and I encourage others who want to join us to please contact John/Laurie and/or Bob/Nita. Should be an another awesome Ranger Tug Fest, and I look forward to keeping this fun, informative get-together as great as the previous two have been.

Patrick and Gail from Salt Spring Island are also going to help with organizing the TugFest 2011 Rendezvous! They have volunteered to do the administrative work from afar! 🙂

Any ideas of what you want to see included in this year's TugFest, please let us know. We are open to suggestions.

Nita

You've been asking and wondering . . . Tug Fest 2011 has 34 boats already signed up! Plus we have a few people staying in the Hampton Inn and of course a number of brand new factory boats and accompanying factory staff. The steering committee met and we've got our assignments but it's not too late to volunteer. Please let me know if you can help. We especially need someone to be in charge of the Friday night Margaritaville event.

Here is the list of whose coming, name of your boat, size, when you think you'll arrive and homeport. Let me know what corrections/additions need to be made. If you're planning on bringing additional guests, let me know for meal planning purposes.

And most important, let me know if you'd like to join us! New Cutwater owners - you are more than welcome to join us too! This is an event NOT to be missed.

Hello All,
After the great Desolation Sound Expedition this summer we are looking forward to meeting many of you again, this time in Bremerton. We forwarded our registration request along with the fee some time ago but are not sure that we are on the list.
We plan to arrive in the early afternoon of Friday Sep 9 and will depart around noon on Sunday. Save us a place.
