Turning all lights OFF when leaving boat without shore power

If it is the same autopilot that is on the 23, there is an auto on setting in the setting menu. I may not have the Garmin terminology but it was obvious from the name.

Dig around and make that change and you should be able to make that stop.

Hmm, I turn off the battery switch whenever I leave my boat, a 27OB. Everytime I turn it on, I find the autopilot display on. I will have to search thru the menu's to see if I can stop it from happening. Thank you for the heads up there is a setting that can change this.

Jim:

So this must be a default setting or a setting left by the factory after doing their QA activities to make sure things are working.

I will check to see if this happens on my R27/OB as I've not noticed it.

[EDIT]
I checked this aspect on my boat today and found the auto pilot screen did not light up.
