Two 29's Hanging at Catalina Island

[Spirit of Gratitude]

This is the Spirit of Gratitude and the Circle T Hanging out at Catalina Island before we leave tomorrow morning at 5:00am for Santa Cruz Island.
It will be a 70 mile journey. It has been a real tough winter as you can all see. Maybe sometime we can get a bigger gathering of Ranger tugs down in this area.

Now that's a beautiful sight. I was lucky to have grown up within sight of Catalina, (on clear days), and even attended summer camp at Fourth of July Cove two years. Since then, we try to get over as much as possible, though as yet not with the R-21. I did venture out to Santa Cruz Island twice, however, and with the trailer we will head south someday soon and make the trip to Catalina. So. Cal does not get its share of credit as a cruising destination, but there is a lot to offer here. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Tym from the Circle T will be posting on the davit system he has. Many people have been waiting for it.
We are in route to Santa Cruz Island and will be out of contact for a few days.

Met Stuart and Tim at Santa Cruz Island yesterday. The Ranger Tugs are beautiful boats. They were having a great time enjoying perfect weather. I appreciated the tour of "Spirit of Gratitude". It was fun meeting new people with a passion for the ocean. Hope to see them again.

It was great meeting you guys as well and hope to see you both again out on the water. If you ever want a ride in the R-29 just let me know, I would be happy to show you how well they do in all the sea conditions we get here in the Santa Barbara Channel.
What was it you said you read? That if you can spend a week out at the channel islands and do ok, then you can boat anywhere in the world.
