On our 2019 R-29 we’ll switch off all the circuits, and mysteriously the underwater lighting will somehow come on while at the pier. I don’t think I’m bumping into it, any ideas?

When you say you are switching off all the circuits, does that include the switching off the house battery switch?

The lights on our 2021 R29 come on all the time too, sometimes in the middle of the day so we don't see them. Based on the frequency, I have narrowed it down to the following causes, I bumped the switch, wife bumped the switch, granddaughter bumped the switch, labradoodle bumped the switch, and goldendoodle bumped the switch. When we are docked with a starboard tie up the frequency of them coming on increases. The fluid motion employee that determined that was an appropriate place to mount those three switches clearly did not think through the possibility of them getting bumped. They should have been located near the engine hatch switch. I haven't figured out a cure yet, but if the problem continues I may come up with a second set of switches to leave off until I see a night time need to use those lights. (My guess is the labradoodle is the most innocent of the five.)

If they are the rocker type switches there is a remedy. I made up a horseshoe shaped clip that goes behind the switch that prevents it from being turned on. I fastened it with a piece of fishing line drilling a small hole through the clip and the switch rocker. I used a piece of starboard about 3/16” thick, any similar material would work.

They make rocker switches with a cover that you have to lift to operate and turns off when cover is pushed down. At most auto parts stores and listed on Amazon, cost on Amazon lists $10 for a pack of five. Cheep compared to a dead battery! Bob

Daystar KU80017 - Universal illuminated locking rocker switch. Hope this helps!

When my 2018 R29 was new, it had issues with that as well. Sometimes they would come on by themselves. or not go off. or flash weakly.....My red lights on the cockpit ceiling also were on dimly all the time.
Under warranty, RT replaced that 3 switch panel and all has been well ever since.

I hope that helps.

Brian B, Could you please post a picture of your "horseshoe shaped clip" that prevents the rocker switches from accidently being turned on (some of us are better visual learners). Thanks!

I had a dodgy switch for my underwater lights which produced the results you described. I'd definitely investigate replacing the switch. you can then also look at switch options that a more secure switch option.
