Hello,
I have a question about my underwater lights. The port side light was strobing a couple of times after turning them on. Now it does not work at all. The starboard light is working fine.
Is the strobing an early sign of failure? If so. What is the replacement part number? Anybody replaced one before?
Would I just put the new wire through the hull and splice it to the existing wire that goes to the switch?

Thanks

Black Crab

Yes, mine started to strobe as well before it eventually died.

Once you pull it back inside the hull, it is a simple two-wire replacement job. I also made sure to reseal the cord cover with silicon.

Most people replace the light when the boat is hauled out, but I did mine with it in the water, laying over my swim deck. My hands were extremely cold, but a wrench and a screwdriver could manage while I was in the water. Just make sure you rinse your tools off afterwards

have to say Ive had poor luck with the trim tab lights. I've replaced them once already and now am faced with another replacement.

Thanks Watson1987,
When you purchased the new lights, do they come with a length of wire attached? And if so do you just cut it inside the boat and splice the new light to the cut wire?
