Happy holidays all,

Since purchasing a "new to us" 2010 R25 SC this past June, we realized that the salon table restricts movements. Looking at more current models, we really like the pedestal with the holding bar and cup holder, and the folding table.

My wife has reached out to Ranger Tug and we have purchased the pedestal, which will be shipped in a new boat to Port Boat House in BC in the New Year (saving us shipping fees).

Now comes the issue, the current table will need to either be replaced or altered with hinges so that 1/3 can fold. I'm a pretty handy guy, but lack the tools and expertise to make this happen. Just wondering if anyone in the Vancouver Island area knows of someone that could make this happen.

Port Boat House did mention that they could take care of it, but they would need to drive from Port Alberni to Victoria, and we would get charged for their drive up/down. Just trying to see if anyone in the Greater Victoria Area can deliver.

Any good cabinet shop could do this. Kitchen and bath builder/installer.

So after having multiple shipwrights/marine carpenters coming by and assessing the job, we decided to get a new table all together.

The issue is that the current table has a wood core with teak veneer on top. Any alterations will most likely damage the veneer, than back to square one of getting a table made. I'd make one myself, but my technical skills don't extend to woodworking. We did get quotes on fabricating a new table, and it is expensive. Maybe getting one from RT, ready to install might prove better in the long run.

I have contacted RT, and they sent me the dimensions of both the current R25 (no folding partition) and R27 (folding partition 1/3 of the overall length of the table, hinges included). Just wondering if anyone has the dimensions of the "hole" that the salon table occupies (i.e. width so that when the table is down it rest perfectly in the grooves, overall length from the outboard bulkhead) handy, I can't get to the boat for a few days.

Either post here or PM me if you could have the dimensions handy.
