I have a 2009 R25 and need to know if the sports rack is 7/8" or 1" diameter SS (or another size) tubing? Got to order parts and the boat is 1000 miles away at present...

BTW, is the rail around the SS cockpit and up at the bow the same size or different; if different what size(s) are they? I figure there's a dozen guys out there who can spit out this sort of information from memory. Thanks for the help!

I'd ask Andrew or Jeff. We just had the same sort of ?? over on the C-Brats about the bow pulpit on a CD 22 Cruiser. In looking at the replies, some had 7/8", some had 1" and one even had 1 1/4". Good luck!

For what it is worth, they are 1" on Karma. I would think they would be the same on the R-25's but you never know.... 50/50 shot here...

One inch on the 27 also

The mesurment is I.D. .

So what size does he get Marc?

He needs the O.D which is 7/8" on most of the earlier models. We switched to 1" in 2010. I would certainly double check this before you buy any kayak or car top carrier components if that is what your up to.

Thanks! I'll have to wait and check when next I'm physically at the boat. She's due for transport from her winter Florida berth to Cape Cod in Cotuit this weekend (I hope).

Many fittings that are 1" come with a sleeve that will allow you to use them on 7/8". It sounds like those are the only two possibilities so find some and you're all set. Try marinepartsdepot.com. I got my bimini SS fittings from them, they are very reasonable. Dong fall for the "sale is over today" story, they extend it every day!

Andrew is correct on the size change. The Laurie Ann has all 7/8" Stainless rails and was built in 2007.

Most of the S/S tubing on LENABELL is 1". The mast has 1" and larger tubing but I think the rails are all 1". By the way I have purchased a few items such as fender baskets and clamps and all came with plastic "split bushing type" adapters to allow use on either 7/8" or 1" tubing
