I have a 2015 R31-CB (luxury edition). I have never turned on the air conditioning and would like to do so this coming weekend. Can someone tell me the proper process (we will be on shore power)? thanks,

Hello,

You want to turn on the AC breaker followed by the AC pump relay breaker, once AC controller is on set to desired temp and should hear the unit power up and water pumping overboard shortly after. You want two streams of water, one being strong and another being bit weaker. Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Thanks Kevin,

What are the breakers on the 120 v panel labelled FWD AIR, AFT AIR and AIR RELAY??

Do I set the temp at the same location as the heater temp setting?

Do the water streams come out of two different locations when air is on properly?

thanks again.

Make sure you open the water pump seacock.

Also, we used our A/C a couple weeks ago for the first time. We opened the seacock, turned on the breaker, turned on the A/C, and it ran for a couple seconds and then it died. After trying to start it a few times and having the same thing happen, I went to look make sure I had indeed opened the seacock, and realized that the strainer wasn't full of water and had gotten airlocked. I closed the seacock, took off the top on the strainer, opened the seacock to let it fill, put the top back on, and then no problems....

Does the A/C only work with either shore power or the generator? (in the R29)

(i.e. the A/c won't run with just the main engine "powering" it?)

On our C28, it needs generator or shore power. The inverter, even with engine running, isn't enough to power it.
