VC 17 for fresh water?

I'm expecting delivery of my R 31 sedan in about 3 weeks. I wonder what the experience has been with VC 17M anti-foouling for fresh water use. I used it on my sailboat on Lake Champlain for years and was satisfied. Any experience and or suggestions?

Bob, Like you, I've used V17m for years on sailboats. And, I've noticed the erosion of the paint at the waterline due to water movement from an unpainted surface to the painted one. Not an issue with a sailboat so much, but a power boat's higher speeds may cause more erosion.

On my recent powerboats, I've used a hard ablative bottom paint. I've used Trinidad SR with good results on a Rosborough RF-246 (27 knots) and a Ranger 21EC (10 knots).
