I installed this Big Orange Vent filter in the thruster cave area. A couple of things I learned along the way were that "Starboard" material does not glue well so I used wood. Also, I used 5200 marine adhesive which took 5 days to cure. Next time I have to glue anything I will use the fast cure 4200. Once the wood was secure it was an easy install. The original vent hose is long enough to connect directly to the outlet of the filter so all you need is about 4 feet of new vent hose to connect the tank to the inlet of the filter. I used Sikaflex sealant on the connections to make it airtight. I choose this style of filter because I am too lazy to make my own and also it has a large carbon capacity. A couple of photos are in my album.
