Can someone please tell me the size of the Vernalift on a 2017 R 29 with a D4 300? Either the part number, or the inlet, outlet, and body dimensions. I will not be able to get to the boat until next week to measure mine but I want to get the part ordered sooner (I need a new one, someone cracked the old one). Thanks.

Hi American Flyer,

We did not install the Vernalift on the 29s back in 2017, so yours may have been done after production. However, we did install them on the 31, and that was a 4x3.5 with 90deg outlet, part number EN140002. Not sure if that is what you have but hope this helps.

Cheers!

Thanks Ralf, that’s interesting. Can you tell me what came on it from the factory and if the Vernalift is an upgrade to the boat, or a downgrade?

Hi American Flyer,

We used the Centek water lift, part number 1603496. It's not too much different from the Vernalift, but that is the one that would have been speced for your boat. If you have a Vernalift, it may have been added after it was originally sold (if you are not the original owner). They're relatively similar, so I don't think either is much better than the other.

Cheers,

Ralf

Hi Ralf,

It appears vernalift is a Centek product. A search of the Centek web site does not show a part number 1603496. Any other identification I can use to pinpoint the correct replacement part?

Thanks again for the help!

After contacting Centek directly, it turns out the part is custom made for FM and they do have the part number in their system internally. They can reproduce it. Thank you for the lead!

P. S.

So, finally have the new Centek Waterlift installed and all is good! The mechanic says the old one could easily be repaired by someone with a little experience in fiberglass work. If anyone else needs a replacement muffler for their diesel inboard (seems to be installed on multiple models of tugs) send a PM and we’ll talk.
