My wife and I recently had the pleasure of receiving a virtual orientation for our new to us 2010 Ranger 29, Thea, by Glen Wagner. Glen normally conducts his orientations in person, but due to COVID-19 we chose to meet on Zoom, despite the fact that our boats are just a few docks apart at Cap Sante Marina in Anacortes, WA. Glen was able to “walk” us through our boat, pointing out the intricacies of the systems and operation of the boat. We learned a lot from Glen over the course of a couple of hours that we may have eventually figured out, but it would have taken a lot longer! And even after learning on our own we probably would have questioned ourselves as to whether or not our conclusions were correct. It is much nicer to learn from a knowledgeable source! I am sure some of you have gone through an orientation with Glen in person and know the benefits of his orientation. For those who haven’t and are concerned about COVID-19 and/or are too far from Anacortes to have an in-person orientation, we highly recommend that you engage Glen via Zoom.
