My 2016 Cutwater 28 is showing variable engine temperatures from 135 to 185 degrees. I assume the sender must be bad.
Where is the sender located on the d4-260 and is a replacement available from the parts department? Is replacement an easy or difficult process?

I've called the company linked below in the past and they've been very helpful. They do have schematics on their site but I would call them to make sure you have the right part number before ordering. They will also help you determine if it is the sensor, (they can walk you through on how to make sure it's the sensor and not a problem elsewhere),and where the temp sensor is located on your engine.
Hope this helps,
Terry
Edit There are a lot smarter people on this forum who may chime in on this problem. Using a volt ohm meter to check resistance on the sensor can also help to determine if it needs to replaced.
