Volvo D-3 150 Timing Belt

I have a 2015 R25SC with about 750 hours. The maintenance book says change the timing belt every 1400 hours of 5 years. I'm just over half on hours, should the belt be changed??

The manual says 8 years or 1400 hours. IMO marine age is worse than hours when using recommendations. Bolt on components fail from age as much as they do from wear ( hours). 8 years in a marine environment is tuff on parts. I have seen more low hour D3’s fail because of belt and tensioner marine age. It’s not usually the belt that fails it is the tensioner. My advice is you should replace the belt. 11 years your on borrowed time.
