Volvo EVC Error - Slip function not available

Anyone with a clue on what’s causing this? 2016 C30 D6. Horribly loud alarm backing out of my slip, although operating doesn’t seem impacted after silencing it. My limited googling suggests a wiring issue or bad solenoid…. Thoughts?

An alarm code should have displayed on your Volvo screen when your your audible alarm activated. The first push of your button should have stopped the audible alarm, but the code with description would still be displayed. The code would probably start with “MID” with a number, then “PID” with a number, etc. Post what that specific alpha-numeric code is, and we may be able to narrow down the issue.

Thank you! I've since done some googling and found out it's related to the shaft speed sensor based on the codes that were given. I'm going to replace the sensor and while I'm at it, the entire transmission wiring harness. The shaft packing on these boats is so close to the transmission, it sprays all over and leads to corrosion. I'm also making a cover for the shaft packing out of a mixing bucket to prevent so much spray from getting on everything.
