Ready for oilchange on my C28 D-4 and am finding it very difficult to find Volvo 15w40 marine engine oil. Any suggestions for a good replacement engine oil that meets or exceeds the Volvo oil?
 
I had the same issue finding Volvo oil as you for my D4-300. Made a number of inquiries and decided to use Shell Rotella T4 Triple Protection (SAE 15W-40) conventional heavy duty diesel engine oil.

Another option is Chevron Delo (SAE 15W-40) but Shell Rotella was easier to get in my location.

I’ll be using Volvo if I can as long as my warranty is active, but plan to switch to Shell Rotella afterward (no complaints from the previous boat)
 
The Volvo oil will have an API standard (I believe API CK-4). As long as they oil you use is the same standard, the warrantee is not affected - per the Volvo rep at the last Ranger Tug Rendezvous.

We use Shell Rotella T4 HD diesel oil.
