I don’t think I am the only one but I’m having trouble casting my vote for best picture. Is it too close to the General Election to start raising voting interference concerns? I don’t want to confuse anyone between the two contests. Anyway I do want to protest our best picture contest on Summer Fun during the height of Hurricane Season for us boating in Florida Waters. I only have two pictures to offer, one is M/V Pukanala, my RT-31S as high as I could lift her over Tampa Bay above Hurricane Helene’s surge waters featuring a sunken dock and floating clay pots in the yard - and the floating dock with dingy strapped to it at its max height. The surge touched her keel but not her waterline. I also have another picture of Pukanala on her trailer behind my one-ton dually in Ft Lauderdale where I evacuated across Alligator Alley from Hurricane Milton a week later. Unfortunately picture submissions were shut down before I had the bandwidth to participate. Not expecting to win with any of my pictures but I do want to cast my vote for the boat with all those birds perching on it. Somehow our Summer Fun can be liken to surviving a less-than-ideal boating experience worth remembering….
