Help:
My Wallas Heater / Stove in my 2010 25SC quit operating. When I turn on the off / on switch I get a flashing amber light and the red control light is also flashing......it says in the manual to disconnect the power or fuse. How do I do that!
Any suggestions. This will allow it to reset?

Find the fuse and remove it. This will give you a reset, but something happened to give you the error. The number of flashes will tell you the fault. It is usually a fuel issue or a glow plug issue or a power issue. Do you have enough fuel? How is your fuel filter? Also if you ran out of fuel it can take several start attempts to get fuel to the burner. Hence you may get a fault again and need to do a rest.

If the Wallas stovetop is freshly turned off and then the toggle switch is turned back on before the stovetop is cooled, it may automatically default and not reset until the power plug is removed (then wait 2 minutes) and then replaced. Its an easy fix and the manual should show the power plug location.

The power plug should be accessible under the unit. Either a plug-in connector in the wiring or a plug-in on the unit itself. If memory serves the later units plug into the unit itself. Follow the wires to the unit and pull the plug.

Or go into the battery/generator compartment and find the orange #10 wire and pull the fuse.

By the way... thanks for the reminder. Half way through my Webasto install I was wondering whether I should just leave the Wallas in and give it another chance. Naaaah 😀

Thanks for all the suggestions........so I have never run out of fuel on this unit so how do I fill it? I see there is a rubber bulb under the unit......No dinner tonight!

Not sure on your model but on the earlier boats there is a 2 gallon plastic tank(jug) under the starboard aft cockpit hatch. That's the fuel supply. Should contain diesel/kerosene/kleenheat depending on what the former owner's preference was.

I don't have a Wallas but if I did I would wire in an off on switch for power to it so doing resets would be easy as flipping a switch. Keeping a plastic covered copy of the page in manual nearby which describes the number of blinks on the diagnostic light and what they mean. Low battery voltage can also cause them to go into the default mode. Scan marine has excellent tech help. 1-888-606-6665. They are on Pacific standard time.

One other possible cause for your lights flashing is the house battery condition and state of charge. During Wallas stove start-up, about 7 amps are drawn by the electronics, fans and the glow plug. If at any time during this process the voltage at the stove (not at the batteries) drops below a preset level, the start-up will abort and the lights will flash. Youll have to pull the fuse (or install a switch) to reset it. You may be able to prevent this by charging the batteries or starting the engine before you start the stove. Turning off the refrigerator while starting the stove may also help. This occurred a few years ago on my boat after a night on the hook with only the fridge, anchor light and modest interior light use. As it turns out, the house batteries had reached the end of their lives. Replacing the batteries solved the problem with the stove. It seems that the stove was acting as a battery load tester. Good luck.

I don't have the number but Wallas has one of the best trouble shooting support guys I have ever spoken to. On the one time mine I had trouble he held my hand through the whole restart process. Worth having this number.
