I would like to remove the Wallas stove from my R25 to have it cleaned and serviced over the winter The installation manual says there are interior clamping screws that hold it to the counter top however I can not locate them. It appears that the top maybe set in place with 3M 5200. Has anyone run into this problem ?

On Island Ranger, the Wallas was not clamped - nor was it glued in place. I just had to disconnect the power cord and the exhaust hose - then it lifted right out. I had it serviced by Scan Marine in August - it took them less than 3 hours. I had almost 500 hours on it and it was not lighting correctly anymore. It's now fine!

Ed, shoot me an email and I'll send you a pictorial of the disassembly of a Wallas model 95DU. It includes removal-pictures. It's from the CBrat site.

On the early models they did glue the stove down. You will need to take a thin blade and run it under the stove to cut the sealant free. It should lift right out after this is done.

I finally was able to remove my stove that was glued down with 5200. What a struggle. Anyone who installs an item on a boat that might have to be removed at some point in time with 5200 should be shot. The product that worked the best in the removal process was called "D-Bond".
