After 7 years of dreaming and a life crises Diana and I are taking possession of a brand new Ranger 29 tomorrow, March 4, 2011. Are we excited? Yes!!! As of tomorrow there will always be a Sunrise on Puget Sound. If anyone's interested, we have a photo history of step-by-step development of our dream from mold to berth. Diana says it's like having a baby only as soon as it's delivered we start paying college tuition. Love to hear about first days/weeks of ownership from all of you.

Congratulations is all I can say! Enjoy your beautiful boat. I'll be on a 29 at the New England Boat show in a couple hours and will be thinking of you.

I do not know if Bothel can handle two R29s. Bob and Nita of Nellie too live in Bothel also. Welcome. Maybe we can see your Sunrise this summer.

Congrats on your new 29. We were on one at the Ft Lauderdale Trawler Fest for the first time and it's a great boat, you should have many happy years. We're just ordering a 27 and hope to meet you and many others at the Tugfest in Bremerton in September.

Big congrats on your new 29,
We got our R-29 one year ago to the day. We have almost 300 hours on her now. When we came to pick her up in the Seattle area we spent a month cruising the San Juans. My best advice to you would be to spend your first 50 hours breaking her in hard. Run her at 80% power as much as you can. The best way to put it is run it like you just stole it. We put our first 50 hours on in the San Juans doing just that. As a result our engine runs very cool and I am able to get just about 22kts out of her now.
Now that she is all broke in we run here mostly at 7kts and run her up to 80% power every two hours for 10 to 15 min.

You also want to make sure you take time to go over all your hose clamps to make sure they are staying tight. They can sometime loosen up during break in.

We use our boat in Colorado in the summer and this winter we have her in southern Cal. In fact I am sitting on a mooring in Avalon on Catalina island as I type this. The sun is shinning and the temp is 75. It's a hard life but what the hell, someone has to do it.

Good luck with your boat and if you have any questions on towing here I am your man. I tow my 29 a lot and would be happy to help in any way I can.
Happy yachting!

Congratulations on your new R-29.

Welcome aboard and congratulations on your new R-29! We believe you will find her a very safe, capable and sound vessel with which to explore your home waters and beyond. Be prepared to talk to lots of curious on lookers who ask questions about our unique and beautiful boats. By the way, we head to Chessie today to begin the season's preparation process. Our Chesapeake Bay is waiting! Feel free to send us a PM should you have any questions.

Congratulations, there is nothing more exciting than taking delivery of your new boat. I would be very interested in seeing the photo gallery of her being built.
