Warp speed

Hey any of you speed demons ever remove the govern screw and snug up the throttle cable and get any more revs outta that yanmar?

Nope. More revs are not gonna get you any more speed with that hull. Just digs a deeper hole in the water and throws a bigger wake.

Since diesel engines produce a majority of their HP/torque at low RPM any higher RPM than rated probably wouldn't produce any more speed. However, it would definitely kill your Yanmar.
