Waste pump out cap

The fresh water tank cap is connected by small chain inside the fill tube. Handy way to keep it from getting dropped overboard. However, the Waste tank cap is not...and bound to eventually get lost (likely a pricey replacement item). Any suggestions for attaching the cap to the boat (inside tube or out)? Thanks,

Can’t attach inside the tube as the pump out fitting must screw into the fitting to make a vacuum seal. Caps are not too expensive if you want another spare on board.

Hi,

As John explained, there is not a connecting chain so that a tight seal can be made. If you do happen to need a spare, you can reach Richard at parts@rangertugs.com. We do keep a light inventory on them just in case you do need one in a short amount of time.

1 1/4" PVC clean out plug will also work or to carry as a spare. Any hardware store should have them for a couple of $$.
