I put my R27 in the water today. I cruised to my marina and found two inches of water in the cuddy floor upon arrival. I could find no obvious source of its origin. Cushions were dry. Where do I start looking?

Did you by chance get any water in your anchor locker? A couple of months ago we had to go through a decontamination process at Lake Havasu and they pressure washed my anchor locker. About 30 mins later we stopped down the to grab something out of the boat and I had about an inch of water on the floor of the cuddly and some items stacked under the bed were soaked. Bed was dry. I have not had time to look since returning home but we have never run into this issue before even with rinsing out the locker (although I have never used a pressure washer on it)

If the water was introduced thru the anchor locker, there are two possible ways. One, the drain pipe is disconnected, easy to check both ends of the hose after removing the panel covering the locker box at the bow from the inside.
The other possibility, and I had this happen to me, is thru a gap between the lower half of the anchor locker and the upper part which is part of the deck. Both are mated and glued to each other, however in such a fashion the smaller bottom part creates a lip inside the locker, and if not properly glued can cause water to enter forward cabin.
I had to reseal from inside the anchor locker that lip and the gap with 4200. After that the leak was gone. In my case even rain hitting the deck would find its way into the cabin, by running along the wall of the locker and following it until a gap to the inside was found and water would then drip thru it and outside the carpeted area to the berth. Not enough to cause standing water but enough to get bedding wet and could cause mold to form inside.

If I could, I would replace the locker with a deeper one for the chain to have more fall height and prevent chain jamming in the box

As mentioned, it could be from the anchor locker. However there are weep holes at the rear end of the floor. Are they clear? if they are, water should not have accumulated as high as you said. If they are clear the scary part is that the water could come up from the bilge! I have seen that happen on another tug. I assume you remembered to put your bilge plug in? at this point and you are reading this........ I don't even want to think about that! I have also seen where there have been heavy rains, the cockpit drains plugged, the bilge plug was in, the water flowed into the bilge and the bilge pumps failed........... better than the latter, but still don't want to think about that! let us know how you made out. Hopefully it is a leaking anchor locker and plugged drains from the v-berth.
