Like another post, we are having a problem with water collecting in the area under the V berth step.
It is not coming from the sump pump.
I have been looking for a limber hole which should allow it to drain to a lower part of the boat which has a bilge pump. I am able to keep up with a manual pump, but that is not a good long term solution.
I’ve had an electrician come and reset the wet wires in my C26.
Anyone have a similar problem and have a solution?

I had water collecting in the same spot and after about a year or two of fixing and checking I finally found a crack in my bow thruster tube were it was bonded to the hull on the underside. It had leaked since the boat was new. Fixed the crack and problem solved. Probably not your problem but I was just putting it out there.

Is it salt or fresh water? I'd then go from there. A cracked bow thruster tube is where i'd look first if it's salt along with HVAC raw water lines.

There is a limber hole aft of the shower sump. That limber hole runs under the fuel tank fiberglass cell. The limber hole is basically a 1/2" or 3/4 PVC pipe it easily gets plugged. It comes out right below the high water bilge pump and engine compartment bilge pump.

If this is plugged that is why the water is building up in the forward V berth area. It does not explain where the water is coming from though. I would check the anchor locker drain, gunnel and the anchor roller area for leaks. Ask me how I know to look in these areas ? Because I owned a C26 and it leaked. They were a bit skimpy with sealant. I also had to clean the limber hole when I purchased the boat. It was plugged and water would collect. I never had an issue with it plugging after I cleaned it out. I never had an issue with leaks once I did a proper caulk job and repaired some fiberglass issues.

I was in Burnt Store a week ago and saw your boat on the lift. Looks like she had a paint job in the last few years. Its dark Blue again, looks good!

Agree with all that is written here, have had the same problem.
The limber holes always seem to be plugged. How did you get at the limber holes that run under the fuel tank? On my 2012 29 it is very tough. I think I have to go under the engine and from the stern.

I had water intrusion on my C30 and found it was coming in from the drain in the anchor locker. There was no tube connecting the locker drain hole to the hole on the lower port side of the hull so all the rain water, and water from each time I washed the boat, simply drained down thru the locker and directly into the hull. Connecting a tube was quick and easy so problem solved in my case. In the C30 I found a small access port to the under-locker area behind the bolster cushion that crosses the forward section of the berth. I had not known the port was there, nor did I know the cushion could be easily lifted up until puttering around. I first accessed the area from under the forward berth which was no easy task, but while doing so I saw the port.
