I have a webasto diesel heater. I’m leaving town for the holidays. The forecast is warm for the next week but I will be gone longer than that. I have it set on 42 degrees. The fan is always on and my question is the durability of the fan. Has anyone experienced any issues with the fan running constantly for a couple of weeks? whether the burner is lit or not? I figure it’s also good to have it on to keep air circulating in the boat as well. Thanks.

We've got an Airtop 2000 that has averaged about 250-300 hours/yr for 18 years and is still running. I suspect yours will survive a couple of weeks.

We've run ours for months at a time on two trips up the inside passage. We needed to replace the heater halfway through our second trip but it wasn't the fan that stopped working.

Thanks. That’s what I figured, but it’s comforting to hear it from others.

Have a wonderful holiday!
