Heading back from Florida to Baltimore and stopped halfway to winterize. Dang it’s cold! I drained the hot water heater into the hull of the boat and that water normally finds its way to the engine compartment and out of the drain plug. My problem is that I’ve got a puddle of water next to and underneath the hot water heater. It is not draining out. I’m not sure where the Weep hole is because the hot water heater sits on a platform and the Wood blocks where I suspect it is. I also can’t reach it by hand. Looking in the engine compartment there is no obvious and extrusion point. Does anyone know where The X extrusion point is located? This is a 2017 R31cb. Thanks for your help, Bobby

This is the photo of the Cutwater C28 grid. You can see the drain in the forward section of the engine compartment. There is one at each side at this location. There is also another drain in the far aft section about 1 foot from the transom where the grid attaches to the transom. I have photo's of the grid in a R29 that has the same configuration. The limber holes are "weep Holes" are designed to get the water from outside section of the grid to the center of the hull. It is PVC piping glassed in to the grid. the piping gets plugged and fails to drain properly. It is a good idea to locate each tube and run a flexible rod through them yearly to maintain the drain.

This shows the drain in the aft section.

Thanks Brian. Great idea to add that to the annual maintenance.
