all of the ranger tugs ...........
We will be having a Gathering in Apalachicola for our C Dory and Ranger Tug family members . I have reserved a great clubhouse with a deep [for Florida anyways] canal that can hold quite a few boats and we have reserved some rooms at some of our local on and off the water hotels . All the details are on the C Brat site and you can sign up there .
Link to posts are here

Hope to see a Ranger Tug contingent there .
We will have some good music, good food and good times .

Just a reminder that Wefings Marine , the first and hardest working Ranger Dealer in the Southeast is looking for folks to come enjoy some camaraderie, great food ,and a great cruising location here in Apalachicola . We appreciate our customers business and look forward to seeing existing customers and future customer at our event . We will have boats available for demos and look forward to showing you why we are the # 1 independent Ranger Tug dealer in the U.S.
As always , feel free to call me for info or to help arrange your visit .If you cant make the gathering ask us about our free lodging and orientation program for our valued Ranger Tug customers .

Have had a few requests for a "schedule" I am sort of unfamiliar with the concept , but roughly we will get together Fri. and situate ,have dinner Fri with bountiful seafood, and all get settled, meander in on Sat. AM with breakfast starting around 8 am stretching all the way to when we are done, Cruising en masse from the late morning to late afternoon.
Think we will celebrate [roast] a suckling pig Saturday as well as Barbecue other items ,followed by socialization, conversation ,exaggeration, and musical entertainment along with a festival of food .Been wanting to do that for a while .
Sun A.M we feed a fun breakfast again, and reminisce, make future plans , play around and consider how lucky we all are and especially the ones that can stay here on their boats or keep traveling !! And maybe take another cruise . Or eat some more .Or play more music.
Itinerary subject to change .

Man I wish I were on the East Coast! This sounds like a great event!

I like it. Let's get together and do some stuff. Oh, and while we're at it, let's eat, boat, and then drink. Good plan.

Cheers!

Marc - oh marvelous "CHEF"

The main reason for wanting a"SCHEDULE" - is that it is quite important to many of us little people to
know kinda when to be at the front of the line or at least kinda close.

So with no schedule we might end up being 3rd or 4th or my gawd even 5th or further....

We will be at the Water St on Thursday and will do a run up the creek to the Seacrest or River .. thing to recheck route
and depths just for the fun of it..

And Boots and I will be available to help as needed. Normal rates -- a certificate for dinner at your house. see we don't work cheap.
see tou Thursday..
😎

Wish you west coasters could make it out ! The pig is on the way [the suckling one] and I am ordering supplies today .The rest of the menu is planned .I have commissioned Jeremy [one of our techs] to capture mullet for the smoker , Melissa's [our office manager] brother to supply oysters, Rich E. from Pascagoula is bringing shrimp and Louisiana Sausage, etc Its always a three day party and muchos fun . John, you will know when to get in line by the subtly wafting alluring scents of the food cooking .You will know when its time to go boating by the sound of engines warming up and discussions of the route .And there will be plenty to do and we truly appreciate your offer to help !
Marc

Be my luck :roll:c
Marc will have me upwind so no succulent odors waft my way🙂

Oh weell we'll just take our chances
see everyone next weekend

I own a R21 ' Tug-a-Lug' in St Mary's but havn't had much experience with her yet. I have an old shrimp boat Captain who is going to out me through my paces in the next year. I hope to be able to attend next year if you do this gathering again.

We would love to have you ! The trailerability is huge when you venture out to new waters . Your area has some beautiful rivers and coast to explore with pretty strong tides, so knowlege is a good thing . We will look forward to meeting you next year !
Marc

I'd like to introduce myself on here. I'm Dominic Hebert and now a service tech and support for the Ranger Tugs at Wefings Marine. I work under Mr. Marc. I'm originally from south Louisiana. I will be making an authentic cajun gumbo for the gathering. I look forward to meeting all the Tug and C-Dory folks at the gathering this weekend. And having a few drinks with everyone 😉

We have our mobile kitchen set up , really , really good oysters on ice [I did quality control] ,propane and propane accessories, and some very dedicated boaters and future boaters already here and on the way . We have a 27 and a 25 Tug here already and a few C Dorys too .One all the way from Idaho! Weather is great , cool nights and 70ish days , The fun begins tomorrow with the influx of boats and the first dinner . Then we have a group breakfast ,plan the big group cruise and get ready to have the Sat. night pig roast ! Some great Blues Music with my friends[and maybe me] starting Sat. at about 7 in the clubhouse ,going until???????
I cant tell you how happy I am to be doing this after a few difficult years off . Its one of the joys of being in this business . Fun with your friends !
Marc

I've been imaging how cool it would be to take part in your gathering. But now you've mentioned the blues (we're watching Scorcese's wonderful 8 episode series), I'm going to be mightily preoccupied with the goings on down there.

Party on!

Today starts the G.C. Gathering! I'm looking forward to my first one and making a good cajun gumbo for everyone to enjoy, hopefully. I'll keep the spice light. It will be great to meet everyone that attends and enjoy the good times with everyone.

Hi Marc,
It sounds like you guys have done a great job, wish we were there. Have a ball.
Bob

Well another great Gulf Coast Gathering is on the books ! Had a few Tugs and some folks learning about them and the great folks that are attracted to Ranger Tugs and C Dorys. We had great cool fall weather ,good times ,good boating, good food, good music, and really good company . Dominic and I are off to Ft Lauderdale to the boat show this week and hope to make a few new Tugnuts in the process . Thanks to all who came and enjoyed the Gathering !
