Time for another installment of the Gulf Coast Gathering ! Same great location as last year with everybody welcome . Ill need to get an idea of how many rooms to reserve around town and as usual we will have food, fun , great company , great day trips .
We are looking forward to seeing our regular friends and our new ones and future ones as well
We will have boat space and slips in the city marina as well as Water Street Hotel available . Make those reservations as soon as you can as we like to back to back with the Blues Festival . Sometimes I can borrow a band or two................
There will be a sign up sheet on the C Brats . Let me know if you are coming and Ill keep a list and help with boat and/or land accomodations .
Looking forward to it ;

RT Tug and crew will be there!
We have booked a slip already at the waterstreet. I know it is going to be another great time of eating, visiting and hearing some Great Blues. Please let us know what we can do to assist. The shrimp are running fine and a short trip down to Chalmette for sausage is easily doable. Just let us know.

Little Tug Boots and John and Boots Vassar are currently docked at WATERSTREET. We couldn't wait until October.

Actually we are ending a great trip tommorrow that started last week when we met Nichol and Bill Parks of Blue Merle.
They let us share their inaugural run to Panama City. The breakfast at Bayou Joe's was a real treat. As we pulled up to the restaurant with thunder rolling and it was raining so hard the buckets were overflowing. We tied up to the front of the place and they opened the sliding doors and we so graciously stepped off the Tug directly into the dining room and sat down and Bill ordered their famous Garbage Potatoes for breakfast --he is a Georgia boy after all . After a charming breakfast we stepped back through the crowded room slid open some doors and made our exit. Then we fired up. The Tugs and with the aid our secret weapon -the thrusters -we danced our way out of the little bay.

The area around Apalachicola is such a grand cruising area!!!!!

One more room at the very nice Water Street Hotel has become available . Its the nicest hotel/marina in the area and is where many of our customers stay and get their orientations . If you are interested in nailing down the room Fri-Sun nights ,let me know . The hotel is full. We are expecting a great crowd for our event !

Marc:

Lisa and I were hoping to attend to partake in all the fun and camaraderie but we'll not be able to attend this year. We won't be far away as we'll be up on the Tennessee River at an AGLCA Rendezvous in Rodgersville. Anyone planning on being in northern Alabama please drop us a line.

I want to bump this up to get the word out. Only a few weeks till we get this party started.

A nice little cabin that is walking disance to the gathering has opened up . Its on Bay City Road and has all the amenities . Great for folks interested in being a part of the fun without a boat [yet] , or boat people looking for land based comforts including laundry and wireless . We will wine and dine you !
Call Doloris Roux 850-653-9081 or P.M. Marc and I will take care of it .

Looks like Chamber of Commerce [I ordered it special] weather for the gathering this weekend . Saturday night Suckling pig and BBQ, ,oysters, shrimp, Jambalaya,a "Grits Bar" , and the famous omelette factory all coming together .Hope to have some good music Sat. PM and a Fri PM get reaquainted [with each other and our fantastic local seafood] session . Just a lot of fun in Apalachicola with good people and trailerable trawlers ! Should be enough Ranger Tugs there for any curious future tuggers to get a good deal of boat time in . We have almast every boat in stock to see as well .
Hope to see alot of folks there . You can come last minute , we will always welcome you !

How did it go?
I'm sure others like me would be interested in any pics or stories of the event.

Our gathering was a resounding success ! There is a gallery here on C Brats that shows a little of what we do . There were a few Tug Owners there as well as the C Dory folks. A great time was had by all !
We will do it again next year and will look forward to it !
