We are looking for recommendations for fiberglass repair (hull). We are in Port Orchard with the boat on the trailer. Has anyone used a boat yard in Port Townsend (first choice) or Tacoma?
Here's the explanation for inquiring minds…
Approaching the trailer at the ramp, the wind pushed the boat to port, pinching the boat between the left bunk and the left side-board on the trailer. That caused the hull to contact the left trailer taillight housing, which resulted in a gouge through the gelcoat into (not through) the fiberglass on the port side. The end of the left bunk also broke the built-up housing of the thruster tube on the starboard side. No interior leaks or cracks, thankfully.
