Four of us - Amstel (R-29) from Olympia, Veritas (R-25SC) from Long Branch, Y-Knot (R-29) and SLO Ranger (R-25) from Port Orchard - are planning to cruise to Port Townsend (Point Hudson Marina) on Wednesday July 24 and on to Sidney, BC (Van Isle) to clear Canadian Customs on Thursday.
Any others who would like to join us are welcome. Let one of us know so we can keep an eye out for you.
We will be making reservations for Hudson Point this week.
Of course, we'll be checking weather forecasts on Tuesday the 22nd before setting out in case we need to change plans and go inside Whidbey Island.

Thanks for the kind invitation! It is great to welcome others to join you 🙂

I am based in Anacortes so will not be joining you this time, but maybe another time 😀

Hi Joe

I hope you let them know it's Wed. the 24th. We are headed out that same day and spending 2 days in Sidney, Port Sidney marina, then head out friday am to Ganges.

See you out on the water, and the comfort sure beats out C-Dory's, right?

Don

Don,
Thanks for the date correction. (I'm not anxious to set out, or anything like that).
Yes, we are expecting to be at Hudson Point Marina on the 24th.
We'll look for you around Sidney and I cannot imagine making this trip in our C-Dory. Although, I spoke with another RT owner who took his C-Dory to Port Hardy in years past and had a great time. He and his wife are headed for Prince Rupert this summer in their R-27.
Joe

For anyone planning on overnighting in Port Townsend on Wed July 24th, to cross on Thursday, Point Hudson moorage is almost full so you may want to give them a call. 360 385-2828. It takes a while for them to get back to you and they do have a 7 dollar reservation fee.
