What a dip stick.

It seems the gearbox dip stick became brittle,when I tryed to take it out it broke,,,,where can I get a new dip stick for our 21ec? 😳

Is yours made of plastic too? Mine is... I would assume that any Yanmar dealer can order this part for you.

Hello LR,

Yes, that is a known issue. Yanmar has a parts supplier network that is rigid to say the least. By that I mean, you can purchase Yanmar branded parts from the dealer entitled to sell within your territory. Look online. Maybe you'll be lucky and have a dealer withing your area who has a good website from which you can order.

That's not the case in my part of GA. A phone call is required, eventually I get transferred to the person relegated to taking itty-bitty parts orders who helps me as a favor (that's the tone I hear in their voice, anyway).

It's definately NOT an 'Amazon-like' buying experience.

Yea ,it was a bit of a dance,but I got one on the way from some dealer in N.Y..thanks for the replys.
